How to Prepare

Each week we provide several resources to help you spiritually prepare for Sunday worship, including an introduction to the sermon passage, preparation questions, a Spotify playlist and YouTube links for Sunday’s songs, an educational explanation of one of the songs, and the Sunday Service bulletin. The bulletin features the service outline, Scripture readings, catechism question, and sermon points. All these resources are available by Saturday morning on the Preparing for Sunday page.

The Lord’s Day

For 2,000 years, Christians have gathered together on the first day - the day of the week that Jesus rose from the dead. Sunday is commonly known as “the Lord’s Day” (Revelation 1:10). While it differs from the Old Testament Sabbath which was fulfilled in Christ, the Lord’s Day remains a fitting day to honor the principle of setting aside one day out of seven for rest and worship. When we gather as a body on Sunday, CCC fulfills many of the communal commands given to God’s people in Scripture: praying, singing, giving, teaching, and more. Sundays are also the primary day of discipleship in the life of our church, where we grow together in Christ-likeness through the means of grace. We warmly invite you to join us!
